BabyHQ Privacy Policy

BabyHQ collects nothing. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. There is no server of ours, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent even in principle.

What BabyHQ stores, and where

Everything you enter — your baby’s name and date of birth, contraction times, feeds, diaper changes, sleep, appointments, hospital bag items, and emergency contacts — is written to a database inside the app’s own storage on your iPhone. It is covered by your device passcode and by iOS’s file protection, and it is included in your device backups if you have those turned on.

We cannot read any of it. Nobody at NoSleepLab has access to your device, and BabyHQ has no mechanism for sending this data anywhere.

This is not health-record data

BabyHQ does not use HealthKit and writes nothing to the Health app. It does not read anything from Health either. The information it holds is only what you typed into BabyHQ itself.

Permissions, and why

BabyHQ asks for two permissions, both optional, and both only at the moment you use the feature that needs them:

• Calendar — only when you tap to add a well-baby appointment to your calendar. BabyHQ writes that one event and does not read your existing calendar.
• Notifications — only for feeding reminders and appointment alerts, and only once you switch them on. The notifications are scheduled locally on your device; nothing is sent through a push server.

Declining either one leaves the rest of the app fully working.

The widgets

The lock screen and home screen widgets read a small summary — time since the last feed, and today’s totals — from a shared container on your device. That container is part of your app installation and is not synced or transmitted.

Purchases

BabyHQ Premium is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Apple tells the app whether the purchase exists; it does not tell us who you are, and we never see your name, email, or payment details. We keep no record of who has purchased.

Children

BabyHQ is for parents and carers to use, not children. It records information about an infant, entered by an adult, and that information never leaves the adult’s device. Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing for us to disclose, share, or sell.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app deletes everything with it. Individual entries can be deleted inside the app at any time. Because we hold nothing, there is no request to make of us and no account to close.

Changes

If a future version of BabyHQ ever collects anything, this page will say so before that version ships, and the app will ask first.
