File it on GitHub
40 of the apps have their source published, and a GitHub issue on the app's own repository is the fastest way to reach me about any of them. The repositories live at github.com/markksantos, and every app page on this site links straight to its repo.
Include what you can:
- The app name and version
- Your macOS or iOS version (e.g. macOS 26.1)
- A description of the issue
- Steps to reproduce the problem, if applicable
I read everything that lands there.
For anything that doesn't belong in a public issue — including the apps with no repo to file against — write to contact@markstudios.com. That's a Mark Studios address rather than a NoSleepLab one, which looks odd until you know that both are me; it's the mailbox I actually read.
Apps with their own support page
These have a page of their own covering purchases, restores and the questions specific to them: ReceiptLog, Vitality, Workout, BabyHQ, SwipeClean, Watchdog and BEAROUT.
Apps without public source
22 of the apps don't have a public repository yet, so there's no issue tracker to file against. Publishing the source is how each of those gets a support route, and that's the order I'm working in.
Common Issues
"Can't be opened" or "can't be verified"
The packaged downloads are signed ad hoc rather than notarized by Apple, so macOS stops them on first launch. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll to the message about the app, and click Open Anyway. You only need to do it once. (Right-click → Open no longer gets past this on macOS 15 and later.)
Permissions not working
Some apps require Accessibility, Screen Recording, or other permissions. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, find the relevant category, and ensure the app is toggled on. You may need to restart the app after granting permissions.
App not appearing in menu bar
If a menu bar app isn't visible, it may be hidden behind the notch on newer MacBooks. Try quitting and relaunching the app, or check System Settings > Control Center for menu bar options.
System Requirements
Most Mac apps need macOS 13 (Ventura) or later and some need macOS 14 (Sonoma). Ghostmark's packaged release needs macOS 26 on Apple silicon. The iPhone apps need iOS 16 or 17. Each app's page lists its own requirements.
