Vitality Terms of Use

Vitality is published by NoSleepLab. Installing and using it means accepting what follows. The second section matters most, so it is near the top.
What you get
A license to use Vitality on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or try to extract its source.
Not medical or dietary advice
Vitality is a log and a calculator. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose anything, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or a registered dietitian.
Calorie and macro targets are computed from standard formulas using the height, weight, age and activity level you enter. They are estimates for a generic body, not a prescription for yours. If you are pregnant, managing a condition such as diabetes, kidney disease, or an eating disorder, or taking medication affected by diet, work from your clinician’s numbers rather than the app’s.
Nutrition figures produced by photo analysis are an estimate produced by a language model from a photograph. They can be wrong, sometimes substantially. Do not rely on them where accuracy matters medically — carbohydrate counting for insulin dosing, for example. Check the numbers against the label.
The AI features and your API key
The AI features require an Anthropic API key that you supply. Your use of Anthropic’s API is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, and you are billed by them directly. We do not meter, resell, or mark up that usage, and we are not responsible for their availability, pricing, or output. Keep your key confidential — anyone with it can spend against your account.
Vitality Pro
Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store. It is not a subscription and nothing renews. It removes the free limit of 25 pantry items and unlocks the month and 3-month analytics windows. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency.
The AI features are deliberately not part of Pro. They run on an Anthropic key you supply and Anthropic bills you for directly; we do not charge for access to something we neither host nor pay for. Neither are the manual target overrides — the computed calorie figure is an estimate, and correcting it should not cost money.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation and Apple handles it entirely; we never see a card. There is nothing to cancel. Pro unlocks on every device signed in to the same Apple Account, and Restore Purchase brings it back after a reinstall. Refunds are Apple’s under their policy — a refund revokes Pro and the free limits return, but nothing you have logged is deleted.
Your data is your responsibility
Vitality stores everything locally and nowhere else. We hold no copy and cannot restore anything. Keep device backups on if you want your history to survive a lost phone. Deleting the app deletes its data.
No warranty
Vitality is provided as-is. We do not warrant that it will be free of bugs, that nutrition estimates will be accurate, or that a third-party API will be available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, NoSleepLab is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Vitality, including decisions about diet or health made in reliance on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
