SwipeClean Privacy Policy

The short version

SwipeClean does not collect any data about you. It has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. There is no server of ours for anything to be sent to.

Your photos never leave your device, except in one case you already opted into: if iOS has offloaded a full-resolution original to iCloud Photos, it will fetch that original back from your own iCloud library when SwipeClean needs to show it. That traffic is between you and Apple, on your behalf. We are not part of it and cannot see it.

We cannot see your photos, and neither can anyone else.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the SwipeClean iOS app published by NoSleepLab ("we", "our", "us"). Other NoSleepLab apps are covered by our general privacy policy.

Information we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. There is no server to send it to.

Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to disclose, delete, or hand over on request — and nothing that can be exposed if we were ever breached.

How SwipeClean uses your photo library

SwipeClean asks for access to your photo library because that is the entire purpose of the app: to show you your own photos so you can decide which ones to delete. Specifically, the app uses that access to:

• Display your photos and videos on swipeable cards
• Group them into albums by date, type (screenshots, selfies, videos, Live Photos), and near-duplicate similarity
• Score photo quality on-device using Apple's Vision framework (sharpness, faces, visual saliency) for Smart Cleanup and Supercut
• Estimate how much storage each category is using
• Delete the photos you explicitly confirm for deletion
• Save a Supercut video back to your library, if you choose to create and save one

All of this happens locally on your iPhone. Photos are read into memory to be displayed and analyzed, and are never copied to any server, backup, or third party.

Deleting photos

SwipeClean never deletes anything without your confirmation. Swiping a photo left only adds it to a review queue. Nothing is removed until you review the full queue and tap the delete button, and iOS then shows its own system confirmation dialog on top of that.

When you confirm, iOS moves those photos to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where they remain recoverable for 30 days before iOS removes them permanently. This behavior is enforced by iOS itself — no app can bypass it — so SwipeClean cannot permanently erase a photo, and does not claim to. To reclaim the space immediately, empty Recently Deleted in the Photos app.

Other permissions

• Media & Apple Music — optional. Only requested if you choose a song from your music library as the soundtrack for a Supercut. The song is used locally to compose the video.
• Notifications — optional. Only used to send the cleanup reminders you turn on yourself in Settings. These are scheduled locally on your device; there are no push notifications and no notification server.

You can grant or revoke any of these at any time in the iOS Settings app. SwipeClean also supports limited photo access — if you share only selected photos, the app works with just those and offers a button to change your selection.

Data stored on your device

SwipeClean saves a small amount of information locally using iOS's standard preferences storage: your settings, lifetime statistics (photos reviewed, kept, deleted, storage freed), streak and milestone progress, and whether you have completed onboarding. This never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the app. You can also reset your statistics at any time from Settings → Reset Statistics.

Tracking and third parties

SwipeClean does not track you across apps or websites, does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it has nothing to ask for. It contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or attribution SDKs. The app has zero third-party dependencies.

Children's privacy

SwipeClean is not directed at children under 13. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or port, and we have never sold or shared data because we have none. If you would like written confirmation of this, email us and we will provide it.

Changes to this policy

If SwipeClean ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled, we will update this page and the revision date above before that version ships, and describe the change in the app's release notes.
